Important:
- Payment processor fees such as PayPal or Stripe are separate
- Exchange rates and external charges may apply
- Users may choose to pass certain fees to clients where supported
All balances shown in Payxem are system-calculated records, not stored funds.
5. Ledger and Balance Display
The "wallet", "available balance", and "pending balance" shown in Payxem represent:
- Internal ledger calculations
- Transaction tracking based on payment confirmations
- Estimated amounts after fees and adjustments
These values:
- Do not represent funds held in a safeguarded account
- Are not bank balances
- May differ from actual processor or bank balances

Payxem may:
- Approve, delay, or reject withdrawal requests
- Require identity verification or additional information
- Apply fees depending on withdrawal method
Users must provide accurate payout details. Payxem is not responsible for losses due to incorrect information.
7. Holding Period and Risk Control
To meet security standards and third-party processor requirements:
- Payments may be subject to a holding period of up to 10 days
- Funds are marked as "pending" until cleared
This helps:
- Reduce fraud risk
- Manage chargebacks and reversals
- Ensure compliance with payment partners
8. Disputes and Chargebacks
Payxem does not mediate disputes between users and their clients.
All disputes must be handled:
- Directly between the user and client
- Or through the relevant payment processor
In case of dispute, chargeback, or refund:
- Payxem may adjust the user's ledger balance
- Deduct amounts from available or future balances
- Temporarily restrict withdrawals
If funds have already been withdrawn:
- The user remains fully liable
- Payxem may recover the amount from future earnings
